M.D Thermal Ltd is pleased to have completed another successful thermal insulation project for YMCA City Gateway in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. For this project, we were responsible for the supply and installation of foil-faced mineral fibre insulation to fan coil units ductwork and fan coil plenum, as well as high-level mains cold water pipework. We also fitted identification labels to all services to ensure easy identification and maintenance in the future.
In addition to this, we fitted frost protection trace heating to the fire mains pipework and covered it with a glass fiber section for added insulation. We finished the insulation with PIB, a material that provides a strong and long-lasting seal, and also fitted thermal jackets to the valves to provide an extra layer of insulation and prevent heat loss.
